Pale Horizons.
I have loved horses since childhood. Their combination of strength and grace, dignity and vulnerability, has always held a particular fascination for me.
In the Camargue, these qualities become part of something larger. Against the vast horizons of salt marsh, water and sky, the horses seem to move between landscape and light, their presence softened by the space around them.
I am drawn to those moments when horse and landscape become inseparable — when movement, light and distance create something quieter than a traditional portrait, an impression of freedom and presence.
The horses are the starting point, but it is the relationship between animal, landscape and light that holds my attention.
